Reading without an account

Guest reading progress, saved ayahs, preferences and reflections are stored on your device. Network requests are still required for services such as recitation and tafsir.

Accounts and optional backup

If you sign in with Apple or Google, Ayah receives an account identifier and the profile details the provider shares, such as your name and email or Apple relay address. Authentication uses sessions. Passwords for Apple and Google are handled by those providers.

When you choose Back up now, your saved ayahs, reading progress and private reflections are sent to Ayah's Cloudflare-backed service. Restore & merge retrieves that backup. Reflections may include sensitive information you choose to write; avoid recording information you do not want stored in a backup.

Purchases and reminders

Apple processes App Store payments. RevenueCat processes subscription identifiers, purchase and entitlement information so Ayah can determine membership access. Ayah does not receive your full payment-card details. Reading and trial reminders are scheduled on your device with notification permission.

Service providers

Cloudflare hosts account and backup services. Apple and Google provide sign-in. Apple and RevenueCat support purchases. Quran content and audio providers receive the network information necessary to serve requests, such as IP address and requested content. This website's hosting provider also processes network requests.

Your choices and retention

You can read as a guest, choose whether to create a cloud backup, and change notification permissions in device settings. Device data remains until removed from the device. In the current release, signed-in users can open Your account → Delete account and confirm permanent deletion. You may need to sign in again to verify your identity. Deletion removes your account, linked sign-in records, sessions and cloud backup from our active database, and clears local account data on the device used to delete it. For Apple accounts, we revoke the linked Apple authorization. Data already stored on other devices must be removed on those devices. Guest data is separate. Account deletion does not cancel an Apple subscription or remove transaction records held by Apple and RevenueCat for billing and legal purposes. Contact info@ayahscroll.app for help with deletion. Service-provider backups and operational records may persist according to their retention policies and legal requirements.

This website

This informational website contains no advertising pixels, analytics scripts or newsletter forms added by Ayah. Its video and logo are served from the same site. Hosting access controls and operational processing may apply.
